GDP Forecasting Model for China’s Provinces Using Nighttime Light Remote Sensing Data

In order to promote the economic development of China’s provinces and provide references for make effective decisions, it is urgent investigate trend province-level development. this study, DMSP/OLS data NPP/VIIRS were used predict Based on GDP from 1992 2016 nighttime light remote sensing (NTL) corresponding years, we forecast via linear model (LR model), ARIMA model, ARIMAX SARIMA model. Models verified against records 2017 2019. The experimental results showed that involvement NTL as exogenous variables led improved prediction.
